PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATION AND INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT SERVICES

ALTERNATIVE TREATMENT OPTIONS TO INPATIENT CARE
|
In addition to to a wide range of inpatient programs, Crossroads Regional Hospital offers a comprehensive package of outpatient programs including Partial Hospitalization and Intentsive Outpatient services.
|
Crossroads' PHP is a comprehensive, short-term
outpatient program that provides support and
treatment for adults facing emotional or mental
difficulties, and who may have substance abuse
problems. It features coordinated, intensive
treatment that is more concentrated than
traditional outpatient care. The structured format
provides medical monitoring, plus therapeutic
groups and activities.
Participants return home in the evenings and
maintain important links to their family and their
community. This allows them to practice new skills
that promote confidence and independence.
Participants attend sessions from 8 am to 12:00
noon, Monday through Friday.
Treatment is usually from six to twelve weeks,
depending on the person's progress.
Crossroads' Intensive Outpatient Services is a
high-level of psychotherapeutic services that
serves as a step-down to both Partial (PHP) and
Inpatient Hospitalization.
*In the past, people who experienced persistent
mental health symptoms that significantly
impaired their ability to function at home and at
work often found themselves in the hospital. The
addition of Crossroads' Intensive Outpatient
Program (IOP) offers patients the opportunity to
address serious, persistent mental and emotional
disorders that go beyond routine outpatient
therapy while remaining in their home setting.
Eligible patients are those who exhibit acute
symptoms of depression, anxiety and/or any
other debilitating psychiatric disorder that would
otherwise require hospitalization.
*Directed by Master*s level clinical professionals
with consultations from a Board Certified
Psychiatrist, The Crossroads IOP offers a menu
of psychotherapeutic services developed to treat
the patients' individual needs.
